Stone

My body crashed
Like an overloaded crane
The menacing concrete seared my cheek
The warmth of blood flooded my mouth
The cynical cool gray numbed my pain
I smiled

Dazed and confused
I lay
Transcending into the clear blue
My body careened through
A distant realm, lost in time
Bouncing around in tangents
Never breaking free

Leave me be
Contained in this cold harsh world
I desire that
To revive my soul

Till a flicker of light
Pierces my eyes
And I felt the earth once more
I smiled
Relishing a moment of
Tranquility
